Terms and Conditions

Last updated: 28 September 2026

These terms set out the rules for using Sauri Check. Please read them carefully, especially section 6, which explains what our reports can and cannot tell you, and section 13, which limits our liability.

1. Agreement to these terms

These Terms and Conditions ("Terms") are an agreement between you and Sauri Logistics Nigeria, of Timipre Sylva Crescent, Mabushi, Abuja, FCT, Nigeria ("Sauri Check", "we", "us" or "our"). By joining our waitlist, creating an account, requesting a supplier check or otherwise using Sauri Check, you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use Sauri Check.

If you use Sauri Check on behalf of a business, you confirm that you are authorised to accept these Terms for that business, and "you" includes that business.

2. Definitions

  • "Service" means the Sauri Check website, app, web platform, WhatsApp service and related support.
  • "Supplier" means any manufacturer, trading company, seller or other business you ask us to check.
  • "Report" means any verification result, score, summary or document we provide to you about a Supplier.
  • "Check" means a single request to verify a Supplier under a particular plan.
  • "User Content" means information, documents, images and messages you submit to us.

3. Who can use Sauri Check

You must be at least 18 years old and able to enter into a binding contract to use the Service. The Service is intended for business and trade purposes. You agree to give us accurate information and to keep it up to date.

4. Your account

  • You sign up with a phone (WhatsApp) number or an email address. Each number or email can be linked to only one account.
  • You are responsible for keeping access to that number or email secure and for all activity on your account. Do not share verification codes with anyone.
  • Tell us immediately at support@sauricheck.com if you think someone has accessed your account without permission.
  • You can remove your account at any time from your profile. See How to delete your account.

5. The service

Sauri Check helps importers assess the risk of dealing with a Supplier before paying. Depending on your plan, a Check may include confirming a Supplier's registration details against official business registries, reviewing business licences and other documents you provide, checking for red flags such as mismatched names, bank accounts or addresses, and summarising our findings in a Report.

Reports are compiled from public registries, third-party data sources, local verification partners and the information you provide. We aim to deliver Reports within the timeframe shown for your plan, but delivery times are estimates and may be longer where registries or sources are unavailable or a Supplier's information is incomplete.

We may improve, change, add or remove features of the Service from time to time. The Service is currently in development, and some features described on our website may not yet be available.

6. What our reports are and are not

A Report is a risk assessment based on the information available to us at the time. It is not a guarantee.

  • A Report does not guarantee that a Supplier is honest, will deliver goods, will deliver goods of the agreed quality, quantity or specification, or will keep to any agreement.
  • A Supplier's circumstances can change after a Report is issued. Documents can be forged and third-party sources can contain errors, delays or omissions that we cannot always detect.
  • Reports are for your information only and are not legal, financial, customs, tax or investment advice.
  • You remain solely responsible for your decisions to deal with a Supplier, including whether to pay, how much to pay, and which payment, inspection, shipping and insurance arrangements to use. We recommend combining our Reports with other sensible precautions, such as pre-shipment inspections and secure payment methods.
  • We are not a party to any transaction between you and a Supplier and are not responsible for disputes between you.

7. Plans, pricing and payment

We offer a Free plan and paid Check plans (currently Basic, Standard and Deep), each covering a different depth of verification. The features and price of each plan are shown on our website or in the app before you pay. Prices are in Nigerian Naira (₦) and include any applicable taxes unless stated otherwise.

  • Payment is due in full before we begin a paid Check.
  • Payments are handled by third-party payment processors. You agree to their terms when paying, and we do not store your full card details.
  • We may change our prices or plans at any time. Changes will not affect a Check you have already paid for.
  • Unused Checks or credits may expire if stated at the time of purchase. They have no cash value and cannot be transferred.
  • If we introduce subscriptions, their billing and cancellation terms will be shown to you before you subscribe.

8. Refunds

Because each Check involves work carried out on your behalf, a paid Check is used up once we begin it and is generally not refundable once the Report has been delivered. However, you are entitled to a full refund, or a free replacement Check if you prefer, where:

  • you were charged but we did not deliver the Report, or we were unable to carry out the Check;
  • you were charged more than once for the same Check because of a technical error; or
  • the Report is materially incomplete compared to what your plan promised, because of a fault on our side.

To request a refund, email support@sauricheck.com within 7 days of payment or of the expected delivery date, with your payment reference. Approved refunds are returned to the original payment method, usually within 5 to 10 business days depending on your bank or payment provider. Nothing in these Terms affects your rights under the Federal Competition and Consumer Protection Act 2018 or other applicable consumer laws.

9. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

  • use the Service for any unlawful, fraudulent or deceptive purpose, including to help carry out a scam;
  • submit false, forged or misleading documents, or documents you have no right to share;
  • use Reports to harass, threaten, defame or blackmail a Supplier or anyone else;
  • resell, publish or redistribute Reports commercially, or offer checks to others using our Reports, without our written permission (sharing a Report with your own freight forwarder, agent or business partners for your own transaction is allowed);
  • copy, scrape, reverse engineer or attempt to access our systems, data or source code other than through the Service as provided;
  • interfere with or overload the Service, create accounts automatically, or bypass limits we put in place;
  • impersonate another person or business, or create accounts using someone else's phone number or email.

10. Information you submit

You keep ownership of your User Content. You give us a non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to use, store, copy and process it, and to share it with our verification sources and service providers, only as needed to provide and improve the Service and as described in our Privacy Policy.

You confirm that you have the right to share your User Content with us and that doing so does not break any law or anyone else's rights. We may use information about Suppliers (not about you) that we learn during Checks, including in anonymised or aggregated form, to improve our Reports and help protect other importers.

11. Intellectual property

The Service, including our software, website, design, logos, the Sauri Check name, and the format and content of our Reports, belongs to Sauri Logistics Nigeria or our licensors and is protected by intellectual property laws. When you receive a Report, we give you a personal, non-transferable licence to use it for your own business decisions, subject to section 9. No other rights are granted to you.

12. Third-party services

The Service relies on third-party services such as WhatsApp, payment processors, hosting providers and public registries. Your use of those services may be subject to their own terms. We are not responsible for outages, errors or changes in third-party services, although we will try to reduce their impact on you.

13. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law:

  • the Service and Reports are provided "as is" and "as available", and we do not give any warranty that the Service will be uninterrupted or error-free, or that Reports will be complete or accurate in every respect;
  • we are not liable for any loss of profits, revenue, business, goods, capital or opportunity, or for any indirect or consequential loss, including losses arising from your dealings with a Supplier;
  • our total liability to you for all claims arising from or related to the Service is limited to the total amount you paid us in the 3 months before the event giving rise to the claim.

Nothing in these Terms limits or excludes liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, or for any other liability that cannot be limited or excluded by law.

14. Indemnity

You agree to compensate us for any claims, losses and reasonable costs (including legal fees) that arise because you broke these Terms, misused the Service or a Report, or submitted User Content you were not entitled to share.

15. Suspension and termination

You can stop using the Service and remove your account at any time. We may suspend or close your account, or refuse a Check, if we reasonably believe you have broken these Terms, are using the Service for fraud or abuse, or if we are required to by law. Where reasonable, we will tell you why. If we close your account without you having broken these Terms, we will refund any paid Checks you have not used.

Sections that by their nature should continue after termination (including sections 6, 11, 13, 14 and 17) will continue to apply.

16. Changes to these terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will change the "Last updated" date at the top of this page and, for significant changes, let you know by WhatsApp, email or a notice in the app before they take effect. If you continue to use the Service after the changes take effect, you accept the updated Terms.

17. Governing law and disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria. If you have a complaint, please contact us first at support@sauricheck.com so we can try to resolve it. If we cannot resolve a dispute within 30 days, either of us may refer it to mediation, or to the courts of the Federal Capital Territory, Abuja, which will have jurisdiction. This does not stop you from contacting a consumer protection body such as the Federal Competition and Consumer Protection Commission.

General

If any part of these Terms is found to be unenforceable, the rest will remain in effect. If we do not enforce a right immediately, we do not give it up. You may not transfer your rights under these Terms without our consent; we may transfer ours as part of a business reorganisation or sale. These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy and any plan details shown at purchase, are the entire agreement between you and us about the Service.
